CoreSync #2 · Live Concept Art Event in Paris

Summary

Thank you to everyone who came to the first CoreSync. The room was full, it sold out, and it was super cool. We're so happy to do it again.

For the next edition we're welcoming three legends to Paris: Jama Jurabaev, Tahir Tanis, and Joseph Cross. Saturday June 27th.

Jama Jurabaev · State of the Industry

Jama is a concept artist and art director who worked at Lucasfilm and ILM on Star Wars and Jurassic World. He's been doing this for a long time. His talk is about where things are right now in concept art: what studios are actually looking for, what's changed, and what he'd tell someone starting out today.

Tahir Tanis · Personal Work Matters

Tahir is World Art Director on Arc Raiders at Embark Studios, with prior credits at DICE on Battlefield. He's had a senior studio gig for years and he still makes a ton of personal work. His talk is about why that matters: how it shapes the way you see things, why studios still care about it, and what happens when you stop.

Joseph Cross · Art Direction for Games

Joseph was the art director on Marathon at Bungie, with Destiny and visual development on Dune and Dead Space before that. His talk is about what art direction actually means inside a studio: how you set a vision and then carry it through years of production, hundreds of decisions, and a team that has to believe in it.

We wanted to create a place where concept artists can just hang out, listen to talks, talk about the industry and art, and have fun. It's a chill event in Paris. Everyone is welcome.

Saturday June 27, 4pm. ConceptCore Campus, 23–25 Avenue Jeanne d'Arc, 94110 Arcueil, Paris. Three talks back to back, then a long hangout. On-site only. No recording, no replay.

Tickets are open in three phases. Early Bird first, then Standard, then Late. Grab one on Billetweb.

Or browse the full event page at coresync.conceptcore.co.

See you in Paris.

Learn what studios actually look for

Each Conceptcore course includes real production-style briefs and assignments that reflect what studios want to see.

You won’t just finish with a "cool-looking" piece. You’ll finish with a portfolio-ready image that fits the logic of production: storytelling, design language, asset reusability, and more.

We even partner with studios to sponsor real briefs and scout graduates.
